About Young Academics Early Learning Centre - Schofields, Alex Ave
Our Schofields, Alex Ave Early Learning Centre provides a nurturing, stimulating environment for children from six weeks to five years old, under the guidance of a passionate team of expert educators.
Our Schofields location joins the ranks alongside our other centres including our Mays Hill childcare centre, our Toongabbie childcare centre, our Westmead Childcare and so many more!
Children will enjoy a diverse indoor learning environment divided into dedicated spaces to develop their skills, such as a wooden blocks construction zone to enhance numeracy, a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) area focused on science learning experiences, and a tranquil reading corner to boost literacy skills.
In the outdoor learning environment, the focus is on physical activity, exploration, creativity and collaboration inspired by a range of equipment and open space.
Educator’s balance planned play-based learning experiences with time for child-led learning, rest and reflection to enhance the unique talents and interests of each individual child.
Children up to age three take part in in the tailored Evolution Program, while those between three and five join the Transition to School Program.
To encourage healthy eating habits, children enjoy five nutritious meals a day prepared by an in-house cook.
All nappies and wipes are included. Cot linen provided (excludes stretcher bed linen).
Convenient, secure pick-up and drop-off points are available.

We left due to a child protection issue that was handled terribly by the organisation. We were open to working alongside Young Academics to make sure nothing like would happen again so as not to disrupt our child by pulling them out, but we were instead left mortified and questioning whether those in head office actually have credentials in relation to working with children. Yes there are some good educators working within the centre itself, but should you require to engage with the organisation itself for more serious issues, good luck getting a professional, non-defensive response. No amount of good educators can make up for a bad organisation. We’re so sad for our child that Young Academics took over this previously lovely centre.

Young Academics has been an amazing experience for my child! The Nursery Room staff are caring, patient, and create a warm, nurturing environment where my child feels happy and safe. A big thank you to the Centre Manager, Elissa Kolikata, who is always welcoming and handles everything with professionalism and kindness. Communication is great, and parents feel truly valued. The cleanliness and organization of the nursery room are excellent, ensuring a safe and hygienic space for the little ones. Highly recommend this centre for any parent looking for quality care!

I just wanted to take a minute to say how happy I am sending my son to young Academics. I went to a few viewings of daycares, and as soon as I met Elissa, I knew he would be in safe hands. It was just a mum talking to another mum, she put my mind at ease of any anxiety I felt leaving him for the first time. I have seen the massive positive impact all his teachers have had on him and I loved seeing his bond with the educators and peers. He continues to play, learn and have fun. Which really is all I want. Something I think it brilliant is I get asked what I’m currently working on at home, eg flashcards, counting, colours and they try to incorporate that into their learning with him. Anyway, you have a very happy Mumma over here, thank you for taking such good care of my son, 5*

My children have been attending this Centre for a couple of years now and I have never had a complaint. Elissa the Centre Manager runs a great place and she is always very helpful when needed. The Staff too are always responsive and caring to my children. I would recommend this Centre.
