Welcome to Vaucluse Little School
Our Early Years Child Care Centre established in 1997 has been providing quality care for families in Vaucluse, Watsons Bay and surrounding suburbs.
Vaucluse Little School offers a Montessori Education and seeks to achieve excellence and enrichment for Early learners. Our aim is for children to realize their full potential by introducing dynamic learning experiences according to Montessori principles.
Each child is allowed supervised free choice of classroom activities and freedom of movement based on his or her interests. This promotes initiative and self confidence.

At Vaucluse Little School our Educators are committed to forming genuine nurturing relationships with each child .
Our team of educators have worked together at Vaucluse Little School for over 16 years, we have little to no turn over of staff , The team of dedicated educator believe in meeting the child's emotional needs at the forefront of their Early Learning journey, this allows children to become confident learner in a new environment.
All our Educators have Early Childhood Qualifiations, first aiders, child protection and food handling and dedicated to providing your child with the best start in life and their love of learning from the Early years.
Our Monterssori Philosophy is based on Maria Montessori belief that all child have a natural desire to learn and that they should be given the freedom to explore their surroundings and discover new things at their own pace.

My daughter attends Vaucluse little school and my son is set to enroll in the next few months. Annette and the team are more than just day care/early education - they feel more like an extension of our family. One of the team actually attended the school as a child, which should speak volumes about the continuity and consistency at VLS. Our daughter loves school and she has developed brilliantly during her time there. I'm often surprised with the things she's learned between drop off and pick up on the same day. Cannot speak too highly of this incredible little school and the awesome team that run it.

Our daughter has been attending Vaucluse Little School for the past 18 months, and I can't put into words how grateful we are for the love and care she has received here. If we weren’t moving from the city, we would never have left—this place has felt like a second home for her. From the very beginning, the educators have been warm, attentive, and incredibly nurturing. They didn’t just look after our daughter—they really knew her: her love of yoga, her fascination with flags, and even her obsession with dinosaurs. What really stood out to us was the way that Vaucluse Little School fostered such a sense of community. The educators genuinely care not just about the children, but also about the families—they made us feel included and supported every step of the way. We are so sad to be leaving VLS, but we know that the memories and experiences she had here will stay with her (and us!) for a long time to come. We can’t recommend VLS enough—it’s more than just a daycare, it became an extension of our leaving. Thank you to Annette, Mowanna, Melissa and the entire team for all the love and care you have shown our girl. We will miss you all so much xxx
