About Queen St Early Learning Centre

Queen Street ELC provides a safe, secure, and nurturing environment that fosters active and engaged learning in children. Our educational approach revolves around inclusivity and spontaneity, aligning with the Early Years Learning Framework. We strive to extend each child's strengths, meet their individual needs, and help them realise their full potential. Our aim is to empower children to connect, explore, and develop their own understanding of the world.

As a small, family-owned centre offering 24 placements, ensures a boutique experience for every child. Our open-door policy welcomes parents and guardians with warmth and a friendly smile, fostering a strong sense of community. Our open plan spaces create an atmosphere of collaboration and freedom, while our shaded sustainable outdoor area provides a nature-based haven. Equipped with a vegetable garden, worm farm, stingless beehive, native flora paths, sand pit, and age-appropriate climbing equipment, our outdoor space encourages exploration and connection with the natural world.

In line with our commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, we actively support the Munch and Move Government initiative. This program encourages healthy eating habits and supports physical and gross motor development in children.

At Queen Street ELC, we value community engagement and actively seek connections with the local area. Through incursions and excursions, we provide opportunities for children to expand their horizons, learn from diverse experiences, and develop a sense of belonging beyond the Centre’s walls.

In summary, Queen Street ELC is dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that empowers children to become active learners. With our focus on inclusivity, sustainable practices, and community involvement, we aim to provide a holistic early learning experience that sets children on a path of lifelong curiosity and growth.
