About Thornbury World of Learning Long Daycare and Kindergarten
Welcome to Thornbury World of Learning. We're ideally located for families in Thornbury, Northcote, Preston, Fairfield,Bellfield, Brunswick East, Ivanhoe, Coburg and Brunswick.
Our Long Daycare and Kindergarten Centre provides early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
We provide convenient, full care coverage from 9hr, 10hr or full days, 5 days per week, including school holidays.
Our dedicated, multicultural and longstanding team of Teachers and Educators provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment - where your child can thrive, and be their wonderful self, every day.
Getting school ready? We offer the Government-approved Kindergarten program that helps ensure your child has a successful transition to formal schooling.
We offer a great variety of learning experiences at our Centre including:
- Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of protecting our planet.
- Sports Program: Allows the children to be active and learn about different sports and movements.
- Community Engagement Program: Encourages children to interact with and discover their local community. We often have visits from community services, and we go out on adventures to teach the children about their local environment.
- Music & Movement Program: Designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. Children learn to appreciate and develop an understanding of music - and of course, have fun.

Our daughter attended TWOL for 4 years, since she was 13 months old. We cannot speak highly enough of this child care centre and kinder. Our daughter has loved being in this kind, caring and nurturing environment. The educators are experienced, professional and gentle. The centre is well run by the manager who is always available for a chat and staff turn over is rare. The 3 and 4 year kinder programs have been wonderful, providing our daughter with the skills she needs to start primary school confidently. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have been delighted with the care and education the team at Thornbury World of Learning has provided for our two kids over the years. The team has provided a wealth of learning experiences that are enjoyable and have enabled our kids to stretch when they are ready. Sharyn plays an incredible role as Centre Manager, providing timely support and communications, and nurturing a team which has had little turnover during the past seven years. The team genuinely care about our kids, providing updates, assurance, ideas and tailored learning to meet their interests and needs. We can't speak highly enough of this gorgeous little centre and are sad to be graduating and moving on to school! Thank you, Thornbury World of Learning team! You have made a positive mark on our lives and we will always remember these years fondly. We admire and would like to call out your passion and tireless work in the Thornbury community.
