The Rumpus Room Marks Point

Welcome to Marks Point Preschool. We are a family-owned service which aims to provide families with a learning environment that is based on building genuine relationships and partnerships with your family.

The Rumpus Room Marks Point has been operating since the beginning of 2021, and we feel very fortunate to be providing long-day care services for children of all ages in the Marks Point community.

Our service caters for 32 children of varied ages per day and operates in a homely, intimate situation where children of all ages play and learn in the same physical space. This provides wonderful opportunities for emotional and social development and peer-based learning, and gives our service its unique boutique feel.

Children are not separated based on age, however we use differentiated routines and curriculums to ensure all children have the opportunity to thrive. We have a Preschool Team of educators and an Infant Team of educators to ensure that these routines and curriculums are individualised and responsive to the needs of each child.

We are strong believers of the partnership with families and community and place an emphasis on play in a natural environment which is both welcoming and stimulating. This can be seen in our aesthetic environment and curriculum which is guided by the Being, Belonging, Becoming: The EYLF and the National Quality Framework.

The NSW Government offers funding to subsidise the cost of preschool in long day care. For 3-year-old’s this is between $423-$769 and for 4-year-olds between $1,783-$2,563. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.
