About The Hive Early Learning Centre Geelong
The Hive Early Learning Centre Geelong, at 70-72 Portarlington Rd, Newcomb, VIC 3219, provides a nurturing space for children aged six weeks to six years. Housed in a heritage-listed building, our family-run centre offers a Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum, encouraging exploration through arts, sports, and nature-based play in inviting indoor and outdoor areas. Led by Centre Director Ekta, our passionate educators ensure a safe, inclusive environment where children feel at home. Can only share my experience from my children attending there (2021 - start of 2025) *The director has since changed. * Massive behavioural issues at this centre. Months after leaving my child is still disclosing things that happened while attending the centre. He was bitten, choked, punched, had items thrown at him, kicked. At one point refused to use the bathroom because he was scared of a child. Almost anything you can think of, it happened. š©š©š©š© The kids were then told these children were 'friends'. How very confusing for a young, developing, mind. Multiple families with the same issues, the kids didn' feel safe. Staff were not safe either. I can only hope and dream these issues have been addressed since for the families who attend. For a centre that charges a premium price, Do better.
