The Growing Tree Family Day Care

The Growing Tree Family Day Care offers a nurturing, nature-based learning environment where children explore, discover, and grow. Located on acreage, our program is built around outdoor play, allowing children to engage with the bush, develop confidence, and build connections with nature.

As a qualified educator with over 15 years of experience, I provide a play-based curriculum that encourages curiosity, resilience, and independence. Our days are filled with meaningful experiences—climbing, digging, building, and observing wildlife—all designed to foster a love for learning through hands-on exploration.

I take a responsive approach, following the children’s interests while subtly layering experiences to extend their play and understanding. Whether we’re tending the garden, investigating local wildlife, or riding bikes in the open space, each moment is an opportunity for learning.

Environmental awareness is embedded in our daily routine, teaching children to care for their surroundings, use resources wisely, and respect all living things. My program also integrates Indigenous perspectives, helping children understand seasonal changes and their connection to the land.

At The Growing Tree FDC, children are given the time and space to be kids—free to explore, imagine, and develop at their own pace in a warm, home-like setting.
