The Green Elephant Farm Early Learning and Preschool Horsley Park

It's clear that The Green Elephant prioritises profit over child safety. My child was injured while playing outside within the first 1.5 hours of attending this day care centre. The educator called me and gave vague details as to what happened, saying no one saw what happened. They negated to inform me of a scratch and injury to the lower back as well as a limp (which remained for 3 weeks). Educators needed to look back at camera footage to be able to explain to me the events of my child's injuries (and they found there were 2 separate incidents). There was no recommendation to follow up with a GP - I informed staff that I will definitely be taking my child to see a doctor. They really down played my child's injuries and said this happens to most children at day care.

I was informed that staff are not able to change their environment or make accomodations to keep my child safe, so I decided to withdraw my child from this centre on the very first day. The enrolments team were adamant that I needed to maintain the 4 week's written notice period and could not compromise on anything less, despite the fact that my child's safety was compromised and this is an extremely unfortunate situation. It is clear they are only after making money and prioritise this over child safety.

Discussion with the Enrolments Team was always difficult and cold - they do not seem to care and are only focused on running the business to maximise profit.
