Neo-Humanism is newly-explained humanism.

“Humanism” and “humanity” have been very popular words for the last century, and only human beings have come within the scope of humanism and humanity. But this explanation is not sufficient. It cannot quench the thirst of the developing human society. 

As part of our neo-humanistic values, we also emphasise the importance and effect of diet on mind, behaviour and the well-being of our children and educators, hence our centres are all fully vegetarian (no egg, mushroom, garlic and onion).

We have built a strong community that values Neo-Humanism, the right of a child’s play, meditation and yoga. All this, play a very important part of the education that makes us unique and well regarded in the community. Stepping outside our front gates is a big part of our day as we explore our local community and beyond. We have been exploring North Fitzroy since 2009 and we can proudly say ‘We know our neighbourhood’

Our intimate calm setting is one classroom with max. 22 children a day with an indoor and outdoor learning environment.

One of the goals of Sunrise Kindergarten is to develop this feeling of interconnectedness and to nurture a sentiment of love and respect for the environment and everything in it. This is accomplished through the application of the principles of Neo-Humanism in the classroom.

We open 48 weeks of the year (closed public holiday and 4 weeks at the end of the year) not for profit.
