Sumi's Tiny Treasures FDC

It's Somaia here, the business owner and educator at Sumi's Tiny Treasures FDC. My daycare is registered with Foundations Family Day Care. I have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and about 3 years of experience in the early childhood sector.

I live with my husband, Ali Sharifi (Pictured). Ali has graduated from Bachelor of Science and is currently in his final year of teaching.

Throughout my 3 years of experience in children's services, I've worked in various settings like childcare, Montessori, and even as a nanny. I have certifications in Early Childhood Education, Police clearance, First Aid (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training), Mental Health First Aid, and responding to Abuse and Neglect.

My main role is to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for children and their families. When your child joins Tiny Treasures family day care, their well-being becomes my top priority. While we have some structure and routine in our day, we also keep things flexible to meet and extend your child's needs and interests. We love exploring the community, going on excursions to local parks, playgrounds, playgroups, and even walking to the nearby library.

The program I provide is based on the Early Years Framework, focusing on Being, Becoming, and Belonging, as well as the School Aged out of school care framework, known as My Time Our Place.

I will be taking children in care from January 2024, and my operating hours will be 8am-6pm, Mon-Fri and can be flexible with families needs upon request.
