Sumedha's Family Day Care

I am an Early Childhood Educator who began working in Family Day Care in 2008 and have completed my Certificate III in Children Services and now hold 18 years of experience in the industry.

I am committed to providing an environment that supports children's growth and learning through felixible spaces within my home according to their interests, abilities and aspects that require individual nurturing. I encourage the children under my care to discover, create, improvise and imagine through play.

I maintain positive rapport with all families and colleagues, prioritising the developement of a strong foundation in understanding each other's expectations and aliging our goals for the child's care and comfort. I value trust, communication and respect in shared decision making to improve my services. 

A child's holistic development is influenced by a numer of aspects; hence exploring parks, wetlands, libraries and playgroups are part of my educational program. I respect each family's culture, language and traditions and celebrate them in a meaningful way. The Family Day Care environment is warm and welcoming, maintaining the vision of a small group of children who share wholesome friendships that include their families and the community too.
