We take pride in building strong relationships with both children and families, ensuring that each learning journey is as unique as the child. Families choose to stay with us for years because we make every child feel truly valued.

Our passionate educators are at the heart of everything we do. By working closely with families, they create meaningful learning experiences tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Exciting Learning Experiences and Programs:

  • Outdoor Exploration – With dedicated yards for different age groups, a community garden, and natural surroundings, children have plenty of opportunities to explore and play.
  • Sensory Room – Our new sensory room provides a calming, quiet space where children can unwind, reflect, and regulate their emotions.
  • Sports and Movement – Weekly visits from a sports coach introduce children to activities like basketball and soccer, supporting physical development and teamwork.
  • Excursions & Community Engagement – Children enjoy exciting monthly excursions, learning from and connecting with the local community. We also maintain strong community partnerships.
  • Cooking & Gardening – Children develop practical life skills, appreciate fresh ingredients, and learn sustainability through hands-on cooking and gardening with our in-house chef.

I have been working at SHEL Putney for just under a year as a casual employee. I have been blown away by the leadership team, in particular Flo (centre director) who has consistently shown professionalism, unwavering support of her staff, 100% commitment and then some, to ensure her centre can provide children and their families a safe, fun and welcoming learning environment. SHEL is very lucky to have Flo at the helm.
