Our daughter has attended the cottage and graduated in 2020 with amazing educators. They were very caring, compassionate, dedicated and knowledgable, under the leadership of service manager & director of Ms Ammie (the most people person director we have ever met). Our son also attended the cottage since June 2020. Sadly the cottage doesn't seem that amazing anymore after the resignation of Ms Ammie (6/11) and assistant director Ms Angi (30/10) and few other educators that has looked after our son. Current educators who are looking after our son are amazing too. They are patience, love what they are doing and dedicated. My son first time caught HFMD (our daughter never had that, so do us). I rang and spoken to the manager to confirm that if she has received our email and GP has confirmed our son had it and reinforced to her that it is important to let other parents aware about it. However, after two days only parents were made awared with two confirmed cases. With that phone call, there were no emphathy at all from the manager as i recalled she was just replied 'yes, sure'. Why have to wait untill you have two confirmed cases? I personally don't think that is safe and good enough as other parents should have been made aware as soon as you received our GP confirmation. Perhaps every childcare has their own practice and policies? However since covid, the cottage has been absolutely capable in informing us when our son got fever, chesty cough, had a wound looks like insect bites etc. Almost every fortnight we got a call in Jan to March 2021 so we could bring him home under our care, of course the cottage did this just to protect other children and staff, which i assumed that they would have done the same thing for other children, however how could possibly both parents get back to work without any concerns/worries if you think you would always get a call from the kindy?? As we have no one else can help look after our kids when they are sick except ourselves. For that, I wish the management always being thoughful to their own staff too if their own children got sick and they can't come to work. Our son (less than 1 year old) also being exposed to rain water with purpose (creative play) during rainy and windy day with all his clothes soaked twice this year. No doubt he must have loved it, but how can i not put the blame on you guys that he got sick straight after these 'creative plays'? Both my husband and myself think that our son may continue to attend the cottage because we felt the educators love our son and most of them love being educators, which is very important to us. Just as i would feel at ease knowing that he will be under the care of few capable educators whom have nutured and taught my daughter before (if they are still there by the time he grown up more). Lately, it has been a mess with the issue of the child care fees benefit which my husband has been dealing with it. No inform or whatsoever when changes being made, only found out by my husband after a dramatic rise in the child care fees. I really wish things can go back to how it used to be, or at least the management team can seek improvement seriously.

Thank you Christine for your feedback. We understand that Trish reached out this morning to discuss these concerns with your husband and to assist with some other matters as well. As you know, we take the health and safety of our children and staff very seriously and we must follow our regulatory policies and procedures at all times. Thank you for acknowledging our amazing team and the great work they do in communicating with families.
