Sparrow Early Learning Coolum

Welcome to Sparrow Early Learning Coolum! Our purpose-built 90 place service provides personalised education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, in a beautiful garden setting protected by shady palm trees. Located opposite Coolum State School, we have a strong community connection and value the collaborative relationships we build with local families and community members.

We are proud of our team of highly experienced, qualified and dedicated educators who continually ensure their programming meets the unique learning and developmental needs of each individual child in our care.

Inspired by Reggio Emilia philosophy, our educators provide a holistic, play-based curriculum with a strong emphasis on natural elements and outdoor learning experiences. Engaging, age-appropriate play spaces are carefully designed to stimulate curiosity, learning and imagination. Educators plan hands-on learning experiences reflective of real life, encouraging learning through meaningful interactions.

Indoor learning spaces feel just like home and are filled with materials and resources that come straight from nature and everyday life. Activities are largely open-ended to allow children to follow their interests, use their imagination and stimulate social interactions with their peers and educators. 

Beautiful outdoor spaces provide further opportunities for imaginative and collaborative play with children enjoying the unstructured open green areas, quiet shady areas, swing and climbing equipment.

Our kindergarten program is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and is led by a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher. An integrated School Readiness Program ensures children are supported to develop the language, literacy, numeracy and social skills required for a smooth transition to school.
