South Coogee Learning Centre

South Coogee Learning Centre is a Community based, not for profit, long day care centre located in the grounds of South Coogee Public School. South Coogee Children's Services is run by a committee to oversee the Learning Centre and the Out of School Hours Care for the Public School. The Learning Centre leases the property from the school and runs independently from the school. The children connect with the school through walks, attending the Easter Hat Parade, Book Week, Library and Transition to School programs.

We cater for sixty children each day ranging in age from 2-6 years. Currently we employ five Early Childhood Teachers, one for each of our four rooms and the Centre Director and each room has above child to staff ratios to help us meet the individual needs of every child.

We pride ourselves in offering a warm, nurturing environment where children learn and grow through following their interests via a play based curriculum. We have a beautiful natural outdoor environment where the children immerse themselves in an environmentally sustainable setting, amongst the trees, vegetable gardens and chickens.
