About Small Friends Childcare & Education Pearl Street

Welcome to Pearl Street Child Care Centre!

Small Friends Child Care & Education pearl street delivers exceptional quality care and education for children aged six weeks to five years and includes both a Three and Four Year Old
funded Kindergarten program.

Our dedicated team of educators deliver play-based learning programs that foster a love of learning in a safe and welcoming environment. Our programs are designed to be emergent in nature and are guided by the children’s interests. Children are encouraged to explore their ideas throughout a range of experiences and investigation.

Our learning programs are further extended by our events calendar which includes a range of In-Service Learning Sessions, community events, and cultural celebrations throughout the year to facilitate an inclusive and holistic understanding of the wider world.

Along with our purpose-built facilities that have been thoughtfully designed to create positive and enriched learning experiences, we provide healthy and nutritious meals every day and our talented cook can cater for any dietary requirement.

I am very grateful for the support, care, and encouragement I received from everyone at the centre throughout my placement. The team, especially in the Kinder Room, has created such a positive and welcoming learning environment for students. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to my mentor, Heena, who has taught me so much during my placement. She not only guided me with professional knowledge and practical strategies, but also helped me truly understand what it means to be an educator. I have learned a great deal from her experience, patience, and passion. I am also very thankful to the Director, Farah, for her continuous support and kindness towards students. Everyone here works so harmoniously, and I feel very fortunate to have completed my placement in such a caring and collaborative environment.
