About Simba Education St Ives

Welcome to Simba Education St Ives!

We are committed to raising the benchmark for Early Education, providing a nurturing home-away-from-home for your child.

At Simba Education, exploration and creativity thrives. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we provide a warm environment that encourages self-expression, collaboration and discovery. Our dedicated educator’s partner with families and the local community to create a personalised learning experience. Through hands-on projects, open-ended experiences and a rich environment, we empower children to ask questions, think critically and solve problems.

We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive, nurturing environment where each child’s innate curiosity, creativity and individuality are celebrated. Scientific research shows that a child’s brain undergoes its most rapid and significant development during the first five years of life. This is why our centres are committed to offering dynamic learning environments where children are seen as active participants in their own growth. We strive to stir a sense of wonder, inspire critical thinking, and generate a deep respect for others and the environment to support the development of the whole child.

My 5yo child has attended the St Ives centre since she was 1yo and transitioned across to Simba Education St Ives, since they became the new owners in Jan 2025. As with all change I was a little concerned with how the dust would settle, and my little one was unsettled for a short time with the change in staff, and look and feel of rooms etc. However only a few months in and all has been wonderful thus far! The new director and team of educators have been so warm and engaging, and always have time to chat with parents, ask for feedback and input and (importantly) in our case to assist & comfort children during drop off. Several times we’ve had to knock on the office door asking if she can “help” and they have always responded with open arms! And now she is quite settled. We’ve always loved the centre layout and the fact that kids have a lot of open space to enjoy the fresh air and gardens outdoors, not just for playtime, but also some meal times. Simba has also introduced recently some new opportunities / incursion providers eg language lessons, reading eggs, sport / gym & music time (on top of what educators already do with the kids). My little one has loved all of these! Along with celebrating cultural and family events. We have been getting daily updates and photos of what the kids get up to during the day, aswell as individual child observations on a regular basis. Overall the centre communication has been good and constant. Our experience to date has been wonderful and the thought that this is our final year (before starting school) makes us a little sad, to be leaving such a caring & warm Team.

Hi Davina, Thank you for such a wonderful and thoughtful review! We’re so pleased to hear that your little one has been with the centre since they were just one, and that her journey has continued positively with us at Simba Education. We understand that change can be challenging, especially for young children, so it means a lot to hear that she has now settled in and is feeling supported and happy. Our team is committed to creating a caring, engaging, and inclusive environment, and it’s wonderful to know that you’ve felt welcomed, listened to, and supported; whether during drop offs or through everyday interactions with the team. We are so thrilled that your child is enjoying the new learning opportunities and incursions we’ve introduced, as well as the outdoor spaces and cultural celebrations we love sharing with our families. Thank you again for your kind words and continued trust!

We absolutely love Simba Education. The facilities are amazing, with bright, spacious indoor areas and a huge outdoor space with plenty of shade. The educators are fantastic, so kind, experienced, and genuinely caring. Our daughter adores them and really enjoys her time here! One of the best things about this daycare is how much effort they put into making learning fun. There are always new, creative activities happening, and it never feels repetitive. Whether it’s exciting hands-on projects, outdoor exploration, or group activities that build social skills, there’s always something fresh and engaging. They also truly value parents’ input and make real improvements based on feedback, which is amazing to see. I can see our daughter growing so much here, socially, emotionally, and academically. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a fun, safe, and nurturing environment!
