Silkwood Stars Childcare Centre

Silkwood Stars is an accessible service which provides a safe & stimulating learning environment for children. Our service focuses on each child’s learning, development and interests with the belief that every child can become competent learners.

The educators at Silkwood Stars have obtained formal qualifications in the field of Early Childhood Education and respect the diverse social & cultural backgrounds of all children. They are able to use their knowledge of Educational theorists and the Victorian Early Years Learning Development Framework (VEYLDF) to provide curriculums that encourage child to develop lifelong skills, promote their independence and agency.

We emphasize learning in small groups which enables a calm & quiet environment and one to one learning experiences

The bright, open, natural learning spaces and diverse learning experiences allow children to develop their social, emotional, physical, numeracy and literacy skills further building their self confidence in preparation for their transition to school.
