About Rise Early Learning Epping Road

Rise Early Learning’s path to high quality early childhood education and care is guided by the principles of the Walker Learning Approach and RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) Approach. Through these influences we are equipped to personalise learning and maintain respect as the basis for all that we do, respectively.

Our service believes in the importance of connecting to the natural world and acknowledge the endless opportunities for learning found outside. We embrace risky-play as a natural desire and need for children and recognise our responsibilities in supporting children’s holistic development through active play outdoors.

Family-owned and operated

The service is owned and operated by Eva Klingberg. Eva’s vision is for the service to be a loving extension of the family home, providing children with a positive and stable environment for growth and development. Eva runs an open door policy, and believes families should have a strong sense of belonging.

Exceeding National Quality Standard

The service has been awarded the highest possible accreditation rating (Exceeding National Quality Standard) by the NSW Department of Education.

Community-based learning

All children participate in projects and experiences beyond the service, where they build connections to community. Our excursion bus opens a myriad of opportunities to explore areas and diverse peoples in our immediate and broader communities.

Pillars of Learning Program

The Pillars of Learning (POL) program was created to shape and structure our ‘beyond the classroom’ opportunities. It has come to be an addition to our programs, where children’s interests, learning and development can be extended upon through intentional adventures in the wider community.

Principles Underpinning Practice

Our service practices are upheld by principles of nurture and respect. We respect children wherever they are in their own learning journey. We recognise children’s fiery curiosities and respect their right to play. We view children as citizens of the world, who have a right to a say in matters affecting them. We advocate for children to know they are heard and valued from infancy right through to preschool-hood and beyond.

Our Team

Our dedicated team of educators are the backbone of our service. Ongoing professional development is embraced and recognized as the fuel for driving high quality early childhood education and care practices. We pride ourselves on having a diverse team with a strong supportive and collaborative culture.

Our little girl started at Rise Early Learning Epping Road in 2023. Drop offs were hard as she learned to settle into a new environment and people. She typically takes a while to warm up to people and places. We were quite worried and nervous at the start because we had gone through negative experiences at two other childcare centres before Rise and here we are, handing over our baby (our only child at the time) to strangers again. We are so thankful to the educators in her room – they really listened to what her routine was and tried their very best to build a trusting relationship with her and us as her parents. We received regular updates about our child through the app and in person at pick ups and drop offs and this was and still is important to us. Our little girl was attending 3 days a week at Rise and by Day 6 (2nd week), one of the educators captured our little girl showing the best smile and laughter – absolutely pure joy. We were so pleased and we felt that our prayers were answered. It has been more than 1.5 years, we have our second bub attending Rise now as well, and she loves it there, too. Although there has been a lot of change in staff members over the past year, we are fortunate that the educators in our children’s rooms have been relatively stable and they are all a fantastic and caring crew. We have also had the opportunity to get to know educators from the other rooms who are passionate about what they do. We have found the educational summaries and feedback on our children helpful and accurate about their character. We have been able to have open dialogue with the educators and management team about areas for improvement and always found them to be professional and responsive. We feel a sense of community at Rise Early Learning Epping Road that we had not felt before at previous childcare centres.

Dear Marilyn and Gavin, Thank you so much for the wonderful reflection on your experience with Rise Early Learning! This has been passed onto the team - they are certainly feeling extremely buoyed by all of the kinds words over the last week :) We note your observation on staff turnover. This has certainly been the toughest time for the early education industry in our experience and attracting and retaining quality staffing remains a critical focus for the business as we strive for excellent outcomes for all our stakeholders. If you would like to know more about the steps we are taking in this regard, please feel free to contact our Family Support Manager at familysupport@riseearlylearning.edu.au or raise with Emily in service. Thank you again
