Raleigh St Community Children's Centre

I have just completed my placement at Raleigh St and my experience at the Djerring room has been fantastic. The team here dedicates a substantial amount of time for planning and allows for extra educators in each room which allows for more than just supervision but also guided education that is based on the childrens likes and preferences. Throughout the day the educators communicate with each other on the childrens performances which means all the educators are aware of how to guide the children. The team also has dedicated time for professional development which allows for alot of knowledge based practices. I can see the Djerring room really focuses on preparing the children for Primary school providing them with the knowledge and tools for them to be school ready. In my 20 days there I have gained an incredible amount of knowledge, tools and also embraced the centres philosophy.
