Pinnacle ELC has been instrumental in our transition back to Australia/the workforce and we are so thankful to have them. They have nurtured, supported, and cared for our children, and have helped us navigate tricky developmental milestones and big changes over the last two years. We have peace of mind knowing our children are safe and happy every day. As full-time working parents with no support network, we were quite anxious about moving back to Australia, and balancing work, an infant, and a toddler. Jill - the centre director - was there every step of the way to support not only our children, but us too. Two years later, and we still touch base with Jill multiple times a week whether it be general chit-chat or if one of our children is having big feelings. Jill and the educators at Pinnacle ELC have been so patient and understanding with our eldest who has had periods of melting down due to big changes in our lives e.g. moving houses, change in routine, starting prep etc. In these situations, Jill or an educator that my son trusts, will take him to a quiet area, sit with him, and let him have his feelings out, before a cuddle and a chat. This has been really helpful for my son as he is better able to identify his emotions, know when he feels overwhelmed or on a verge of a meltdown, and knows to let a trusted adult know that he needs some quiet time away from the other children. I am grateful that Pinnacle ELC has the resources and means to be able to handle these situations as I would imagine it would be quite difficult at the other centres that I have toured with a higher children-to-educator ratio. Although we have moved houses and live three suburbs away, we still continue to send our children to Pinnacle ELC as the care and support we receive is unmatched. We love the smaller environment as it allows all the children to collaborate and be heard during discussion activities, and the educators are able to spend more time with the children/get to know them and tailor activities to their interests. Both my children love all the arts and crafts activities, the Mini Maestros music time, participating in the sport activities and playing in the outdoor area in general. In terms of academics, both children have developed extensively in their numbers and alphabets through song/play as well as through the kindergarten program. We love that Pinnacle ELC has a kindergarten program as we trialled an external kindergarten for a term with our eldest but found that it was difficult for him to transition, but also for us to shuttle him from kindergarten to Pinnacle ELC in the middle of the work day. We also found that the kindergarten program at Pinnacle ELC was more structured than the external kindergarten which is what we prefer. The kindergarten teacher (Harshani) is such a positive force and both our children love her. On mornings where our children find it difficult saying their goodbyes, Harshani has been fantastic at taking them and comforting them. We highly recommend Pinnacle ELC to any parent or caregiver who is considering sending their child here. We have the utmost trust in Jill and the team and we have peace of mind knowing that our children are in good hands.
