About Pelican Heatherton Long Daycare and Kindergarten
Welcome to Pelican Heatherton. We're ideally located for families in Hampton East, Moorabbin, Heatherton, Clarinda, Clayton South, Cheltenham and Oakleigh South.
Our Long Daycare and Kindergarten Centre provides early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
We provide convenient, full care coverage from 9hr, 10hr or full days, 5 days per week, including school holidays.
Our dedicated team of Teachers and Educators provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment where your child can thrive, and be their wonderful self, every day.
Getting school ready? We offer the Government-approved Kindergarten program that helps ensure your child has a successful transition to formal schooling.
We offer a great variety of learning experiences at our Centre, including:
- Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of protecting our planet.
- Community Engagement Program: Encourages children to interact with and discover their local community. We often have visits from community services, and we go out on adventures to teach the children about their local environment.
- Music & Movement Program: Designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. Children learn to appreciate and develop an understanding of music - and of course, have fun.

- Discounted swimming lessons are available for 3 and 4-year-old Kindergarten children at Aquastar Swim School, conveniently located next door.

I visited Pelican Childcare as a Speech Pathology Assistant and found it to be a warm and welcoming environment. The educators showed a strong commitment to supporting children’s communication development. The staff are friendly, helpful, and clearly dedicated to the wellbeing of the children!

My son absolutely loved Pelican in his 2 years there. The team are like a family always welcoming, caring and helpful. The management is very attentive and supportive with any needs for the best care of children and their family

My child attended here from 2-5 years I found quality care was consistently provided to my child by consistent long term staff who took great care of her. The centre manager Tegan is extremely knowledgeable and helps with all things CCS and even supports families who need NDIS and support. Overall a great centre with caring staff.
