About Pelican Coburg Long Daycare and Kindergarten
Welcome to Pelican Childcare Coburg. We're ideally located for families in Brunswick, Preston, Coburg, Reservoir, Pascoe Vale, Fawkner and surrounding areas.
Our Long Daycare and Kindergarten Centre provides early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
At Pelican Childcare Coburg, we provide convenient, full care coverage from 9hr, 10hr or full days, 5 days per week, including school holidays.
Our longstanding, multicultural and dedicated team of Teachers and Educators provides a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment - where your child can thrive, and be their wonderful self, every day.
Getting school ready? We offer the 3 and 4-year-old Government-approved Kindergarten program that helps ensure your child has a successful transition to formal schooling.
We offer a great variety of learning experiences at Pelican Childcare Coburg including:
- Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of protecting our planet.
- Community Engagement Program: Encourages children to interact with and discover their local community. We often have visits from community services, and we go out on adventures to teach the children about their local environment.
- Sports Program: Allows the children to be active and learn about different sports and movements.
- Music & Movement Program: Designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. Children learn to appreciate and develop an understanding of music - and have fun.
- Real life Experiences: Children participate in fun and exciting experiences such as woodworking, harvesting the veggie garden, caring for our worm farm and early cooking skills.

We are so pleased with the care our little one receives at Pelican Coburg. The room teams have been incredibly supportive and nurturing towards our little one. We are so grateful for the love and care that they provide our child; from supporting their development from learning to walk, communicate and all of the rest! We value and appreciate all of the hard work from all of your amazing educators across the service. Thank you to Zeina, Achini, Teresa and Alana (to name a few! If we could fit all of the educators names in we sure would) The centre chef Leeanne provides the children with exceptional meals; our little one went from being incredibly fussy to loving anything that she is served. We can’t thank you enough for the support and for the delicious meals you provide for not only our child but for all the children. The management team Sarah and Gabby always provided with knowledgeable information about our account, anything child development and warm welcomes to us when we enter the centre and when we leave, it’s always such a joy to come in and be greeted so warmly! Thanks so much!!!! could go on and on about how much we love pelican and the team but we will leave it there for now! We have been extremely impressed by the management team (Tash and Sarah) and all of the educators at Pelican Childcare in Coburg, in particular his room educators Sarah and Massi. They have provided a warm and welcoming environment where we have been able to have peace of mind that our son is well cared for. Our son loves attending the centre and has learnt a lot, made friends and gained confidence. The staff are all very supportive, kind and caring and provide a great learning environment with lots of activities.
