We take a holistic approach to childcare at Only About Children Northcote. We provide quality early learning, through innovative programs, with a focus on early years education, health and wellbeing. Our purpose-built two-level Campus is located on the corner of Victoria Road and Separation Street and a 15-18-minute walk from either Dennison Station or Fairfield Station. We have bus stops right outside and a variety of local schools nearby. We are a 5-10-minute walk from our local parks, McDonell Park and Rubie Thomson Reserve, and a 15-minute walk from All Nations Park. We have underground parking available, so families can enjoy a smooth drop off and pick up every visit. 

With a large outdoor play area, including dedicated spaces for our Nursery, Toddler and Kinder children, there is plenty of space for adventure, exploration and self-lead play. Built around a beautiful gumtree, our outdoor area includes a bike track, a worm farm and an undercover sandpit. Our six indoor spaces are age-based areas, specifically designed to encourage children to learn and grow with a focus on safety and natural elements. We enjoy connecting with our local community through planned excursions and community activities that build on the children’s interests and learning. At Only About Children childcare Northcote, these include regular trips to the local park. 

As part of their enrolment at Only About Children childcare Northcote, children have access to our Health Program, with specialist screening and support in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Vision and Nutrition. Our dietitian-designed seasonal menus are prepared daily by our Cooks, from breakfast through to evening snack so your child is well-nourished throughout their day, every day. 

At our Northcote early learning centre you will find a team of qualified and passionate Educators ready to help your child feel stimulated, safe, nurtured and happy. Our educational curriculum, known as Oac Grow, specifically supports the development of growing minds in Nursery and Kindergarten aged children. We cover numeracy and literacy, technology, creative expression, exploration and sustainability. Every day, your child will take part in a range of experiences exclusive to Only About Children. Our teaching is delivered in a fun, inclusive environment. 

Our play-based curriculum allows us to deliver considered teaching in dynamic small group learning environments where we regularly monitor children’s challenges, successes and skills.

Only About Children is proud to display the Kinder Tick because we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.
