About Only About Children Newport
We aim to be the leading holistic early learning provider in our community through education development and wellbeing. At Only About Children Newport we seek to empower every child to reach their full potential through a passion for learning.
We are proudly rated Exceeding National Quality Standard.
Our campus is located at 82-84 Blackshaws Road, Newport, on the corner of Blackshaws Road and Sutton Street.
We have:
- Three outdoor play spaces with plenty of great resources including: forts, other climbing equipment, sandpits and vegetable gardens
- Six age-based indoor areas with a design focus on natural elements and self-lead play
Enrolment includes:
- Health Program - with Allied Health support in Nutrition, Vision, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology
- Daily Dietitian designed, freshly prepared meals
- All essentials from nappies, formula and cot linen to sunscreen
- Excursions and local community activities

Only About Children is proud to display the Kinder Tick because we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.

Edit: in response to your generic reply, I’d already raised all these issues with you while my child was enrolled, and nothing came from it. Gastro four times in a month from the Nursery room from the bad hygiene practices. Child got the cold sore virus from the nursery worker who constantly kisses their hands and head. Nursery room worker admitted to forcing food down child’s mouth to ‘encourage eating’ which damaged the child’s eating instead. Witnessed nursery worker raising voice and yelling at a tiny crying baby while I was in the room Director doesn’t engage with you at desk, sits with her back to you and headphones in most the time. Once I raised a concern with the manager, nursery workers became extremely cold towards both me and my child, which is extremely concerning. They pick and choose which child’s birthday is acknowledged, which is sad for the children! No learning activities are done like at other centres (which are cheaper than here), just the same old toys week after week. Basically just babysitting The workers and other children were dropping like flies while my child was there. Very bad experiences being spoken about a lot in local mothers group fb groups for a reason.
