We take a holistic approach to childcare and kindergarten at Only About Children Coonans Hill. Our single-level, purpose-built Campus is located at 38A Coonans Road, Coonan Hill, close to Pascoe Vale South Primary School and a 20-minute walk from Strathmore Station. There is plenty of access to public transport with our local tram stop a 15-minute walk and regular bus stops just around the corner. We are a 5-minute drive from Queens Park, a beautiful green sanctuary in the suburbs, with plenty of bird life and fun activity for the whole family. With parking available at our Coonans Hill childcare centre, families can plan a straightforward drop off and pick up every visit.  

With four outdoor play yards, each dedicated to a different age group, our children have lots of room to lead their own play through exploration and adventure. We have nine vegetable garden beds that our children love to tend to regularly. Our six indoor spaces have been beautifully designed with natural elements. With a focus on safety, all indoor environments are set up to encourage growth and hands-on learning amongst our children. We enjoy connecting with our local community through planned excursions and community activities that build on the children’s interests and learning. At Only About Children childcare Coonans Hill, these include regular explorations of our local parks and trips to our post office and local cafe. All excursions are linked to our educational program. 

At Only About Children childcare Coonans Hill, enrolment includes access to our innovative Health Program. Your child is supported through specialist screening and ongoing attention in Speech Pathology, Nutrition, Vision and Occupational Therapy. We provide daily nutritious dietitian-designed meals, prepared fresh by our cooks, from breakfast through to evening snack, so your child is well-nourished through their entire day. 

With a team of qualified and passionate Educators, your child will discover an early learning environment where they feel safe, stimulated, nurtured and happy. Our educational curriculum – Oac Grow – gives Nursery, Toddler and Kindergarten children the greatest opportunity to develop their growing minds, with programs ranging from literacy and numeracy to creative expression, exploration, technology and sustainability. Only About Children is proud to display the Kinder Tick because we’re an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program. That means our service delivers a play-based learning program, led by a qualified early childhood teacher.
