About Old MacDonald's Child Care

Welcome to Old MacDonald's Child Care!

Old MacDonald's Child Care (OMCC) established since 2016, is a purpose-built private childcare service located in Orchard Hills (boarding Erskine Park). Our childcare service caters to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. We operate 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday- Friday, 50 weeks per year.

OMCC is a rural service in suburbia on 8.5 acres with a wide variety of farm animals (cow, sheep, alpaca, pig, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys and a pony). The children explore the open farm spaces by going on tractor/ trailer rides or by walking throughout the property to engage with the animals. The outdoor designed play spaces incorporate sustainability for the children to explore for hours.

OMCC has an abundance of outdoor play areas, complete with 2 separate age-appropriate natural play spaces. The outdoor environments have been designed to incorporate our natural rural surroundings and encourage all children to explore their senses while engaging in the environment.

Don’t be fooled by the Farm and Aesthetics. High Staff turnover for 6 years now. Parents after all these years have NEVER set eyes on the kitchen. We are not allowed to see even on the initial school tour where the food is stored and prepared. Owner Top Bloke. However the Manager & 2IC are extremely well rehearsed. Change in Management & leadership needs to happen. It is not the welcoming, nurturing environment it once was. The animals bring in the clients not the care & service to the children. My loyalty has warn thin. The FEW long time staff whom have survived the toxic work environment and unfair treatment from senior staff, hats off to them for persevering. REGRETFULLY If it wasn't for the FEW long term employees we would have left much earlier one. To The Manager “BJ” FURTHER TRAINING IS REQUIRED!!
