About Normanhurst West Community Preschool
NWCPS is a community Preschool run by a management committee of devoted volunteer parents. The Preschool is a non-profit organisation, funded by direct government grants, fees collected and fundraising initiatives.
The Preschool operates from 9:00am until 2:30pm each weekday during school terms (ideal for those with siblings at school!), with each session catering for a maximum of twenty children. Each session is staffed by one qualified Early Childhood Teacher and Educator. The Preschool also provides an additional needs program.
Sharing its grounds with Normanhurst West Public School (NWPS), the Preschool is an ideal choice for those looking for a smooth transition to Kindergarten. The Preschool participates in numerous visits to the school including trips to the School Library, watching the annual Police band performance in the school hall with the students of NWPS and the preschoolers performing their very own End of Year concert in the school hall.
Our Director and Educators liaise with the Kindergarten teachers towards the end of each year to give feedback on the Preschool graduates, helping them get to know some of the characteristics and abilities to help ensure they have a smooth start to their first few months at big school.
