About Nido Early School Scarborough
- Our Heart Swap Program supports emotional regulation during drop-off and pick-up, where families and children share and exchange coloured hearts as symbols of connection and reassurance.
- Our ‘Tina-Bread’ program, led by educator Gurvinder (Tina), invites children to make authentic naan bread, incorporating numeracy, literacy, and fine motor skills.
- We host Mini and Me Mornings on Mondays and Fridays, where babies and parents come together for morning tea, connection, and shared experiences.
At Nido Scarborough Early School, we provide exceptional education and care for children from six weeks to school age. Our approach focuses on creating warm, nurturing environments where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. Guided by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we design programs that encourage creativity, cultural understanding, and confidence through hands-on experiences.
Safety is central to everything we do. We follow national child-safe standards, maintain clear supervision, and provide ongoing training for our educators to ensure children feel secure and cared for.
Our programs include wellbeing-focused initiatives, creative and sensory learning experiences, and meaningful family partnerships that foster a strong sense of belonging.
Our environments are thoughtfully designed to spark imagination and exploration. Indoors, children engage in artistic expression within our ateliers and enjoy quiet spaces for storytelling, while outdoors they explore climbing areas, water play, Nido cars, and natural spaces that encourage movement and connection with nature.
Community is at the heart of Nido Scarborough. We build strong, respectful relationships between children, families, educators, and the wider community through inclusive programs and shared experiences.
At Nido, every day is an opportunity to nurture confident, capable learners through safe, inspiring environments and meaningful experiences. We turn everyday moments into lasting learning that shapes each child’s future.
