This is probably the best daycare I've put my son in. I love that it's not a huge mainstream centre, so the child to staff ratio is smaller, which means the staff get to know your child, their personality, likes/dislikes, what's normal and abnormal for them better than a large center would. My son has built great relationships with all the carers and is always excited to tell me about the day he's had. There is always new and exciting things for the kids to do, and having centre animals such as guinea pigs, chickens and fish means the kids get to develop a nurturing side for animals. The staff are always happy and welcoming - from a good morning (every morning) from Jenny in the kitchen, to an afternoon chat with the carers on duty, to Jordan answering any and all questions - I could not fault them at all. The centre is always clean with many different toy options for kids, and I think the custom made wasp playground is absolutely fabulous. They really do make you feel like you're part of the family, and I can't wait to have them care for my daughter too, in due time.

Our daughter started attending myworld waikiki in 2024 when she was 6 months old, she attended for 2 days a week. It was amazing, the educators were so lovely, the head educator in babies room always gave updates about our daughters day when we picked her up. photos were always uploaded on the app and they always updated when they ate, slept, changed nappy etc. The head educator in babies room ended up leaving and at the same time our daughter started going 4 days a week. That's when everything changed for the worst. The staff turnover became so high, by the end i only knew two educators, the rest kept changing. When i dropped my daughter off, It was noticeable that they didn't have enough staff to children ratio. My daughter was given the wrong formula, and she is lactose intolerant. Photos were uploaded with another child's dummy in my daughters mouth, even though she had two labelled dummies there. My daughter had another child's wet clothing in her backpack, the educator told my partner she had water play so she changed clothes. she never had water play so who do you think my child is? she came home with another childs water bottle, the next day we told them it wasn't hers, yet sure enough she came home with that exact same water bottle?! the app never got updated w sleep, eating and nappy changes. photos got uploaded every now and then. she was so sick it was ridiculous. the health and cleanliness of that place needs to be looked at.(Those were just a fraction of the issues we had) Jordan, the practice manager is another problem. i would call and speak to her whenever there had been an issue. she said she would deal with it, but yet i have no idea if she actually does. The worst thing is, her office is next to the entry and exit of the childcare, it has a massive glass window, so she could see parents and their kids arriving and leaving, and never once in the 6 months did she ever make eye contact, say hello, or even come out and give me an apology in person or an update to what she has done about the said issue my daughter had at that moment. It blows my mind how someone can lack such social and courteous skills, especially when we are there 4 days a week! she lives behind the computer and never wants to make that extra effort to build a rapport with you or your child. I decided to quit my fulltime job and be a SAHM, and my child has never been happier and healthier.
Response from the ownerabout 1 month agoDear Bridget, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand how important it is for families to feel confident in the care and wellbeing of their children, and we are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet the high standards we strive to uphold. Please be assured that the concerns raised have been taken seriously and addressed internally in line with our policies and procedures. Staff conduct, health and safety, communication, and continuity of care are all areas we continuously monitor and work to improve. We acknowledge the impact that staffing changes and communication lapses may have had during your child’s time with us, and we regret any distress this caused your family. While your daughter is no longer attending, we appreciate your honesty, and we will use this feedback constructively to ensure we maintain a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment for all children in our care. We wish you and your family all the very best and thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention.
