Mount Evelyn Christian School Kindergarten

MECS Kindergarten is a part of Mount Evelyn Christian School (K-12). Central to our philosophy and practice is the image of the child as wonderful created by God, powerful, capable and full of curiosity about the world. Program content is based on a Biblical Perspective as well as considering children's varied needs, interests, individual learning styles and abilities. Children's progress in the 5 EYLF learning outcomes is supported through both child-led and teacher initiated experiences. learning activities are designed to be open-ended, play based and engaging while developing age appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities in the areas of cognitive, language, physical, social and emotional skills. 3 year old Kindergarten attend for 5 hours spread over 2 days. 4 year old Kindergarten children attend for 16.25 hours spread over 3 days per week.
