Welcome To Mentone Childcare & Kindergarten

Children are offered a variety of stimulating learning activities each day. They can join in a choice of activities such as Yoga or Music Classes, have fun with a Science Experiment, or help in the vegetable garden. The Kindy Kids have classes in Numeracy, Literacy, and Chinese. Each child is encouraged to have fun, make friends, and discover new things.
We are a privately run independent Childcare and kindergarten— Not part of a big chain.
At Mentone Childcare & Kindergarten, our focus is on education while having fun.
- Nutritious meals are cooked fresh each day.
- We are open Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 6:30 pm—we only close on public holidays.
- We provide quality childcare and education for Babies, Toddlers, 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten
- We provide before and after school care and pick up and drop off to Mentone Primary School and St. Patrick’s School and School holiday programs.

I am a current student at Monash University and am doing my placement in this centre at the moment. I find the atmosphere here very welcoming. My mentors, Michelle and Karishma, have been very supportive of me and have demonstrated a great deal of professional knowledge. I can sense that they are truly passionate about their work. The adorable children and friendly staff have made me feel a strong sense of belonging here. I am looking forward to get back to my last placement in August.

Very friendly and homely centre with a great covered decking area where the kids have their morning tea on a nice day. The educators are wonderful - really caring and always there to help with any tantrums at drop off. Most of them have been there since my son started 2.5 years ago and it’s reassuring to see their smiling faces. Management have been accommodating when I needed to change days due to contract work. Their annual family Halloween party is awesome!
