As a first-time mum running a business from home, I’d been toying with the idea of daycare or getting a part-time nanny for a while. Then, by complete chance, I met Silvana and her two beautiful children at a local cafe. There was something about her presence—warm, grounded, intentional—that made me feel instantly at ease. It felt like it was meant to be. A day or two later, life threw me a curveball when my mum (who had been helping with care) was called into work unexpectedly. Suddenly, I needed a solution. Silvana responded with such generosity and calm, and I found myself walking through the doors of Learning Blocks with my son, hoping I was making the right decision. Leaving your baby in someone else’s care for the first time is definitely something that could keep you up at night The guilt, the anxiety, the “what ifs.” I wasn’t even sure we were ready. Within minutes, all my doubts, and even mum-guilt lifted. The space she’s created is filled with so many thoughtful details—all so clearly designed with care. It’s a space that quietly speaks volumes about what she’s set out to build: not just a childcare centre, but the kind of experience every parent dreams of. Something she clearly understands deeply as a mum herself. I had thoughts of my little boy being left alone in a corner somewhere, but every time I popped my head in, he was being so lovingly looked after, with a number of toys, peacefully asleep in a proper cot, or being fed puree. I’ve watched my little boy settle into the most nurturing, thoughtful, and truly beautiful environment—thanks to an extraordinary group of educators I now trust wholeheartedly. Miss Caroline, Miss Faith and Miss Hayley have cared for him with such gentleness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth. Seeing him him engaged in intentional play, soaking up the fresh air and the one-on-one attention he deserves—it’s changed everything for me. As a parent trying to do the juggle, I often felt like I was failing at both—never fully present, always stretched thin. But now, I have the space I need to focus on work, knowing he’s not just “looked after” but thriving. And when we are together, our time feels more intentional, more connected. The updates I receive throughout the day bring me such comfort. Every photo, every little moment—it’s all a reminder that he’s in the very best hands. I even get updates of when he is fed and when he is napping. And as a bonus, I also can work from the lovely little café just downstairs—it’s becoming a routine I genuinely look forward to each week. Thank you, Silvana & Learning Blocks, for creating a space that feels like family. It’s hard to put into words what that has meant for me, but I’ll never stop being grateful.

Dear Georgia, Reading your words truly moved us—thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing your journey so openly and generously. It means the world to know that Learning Blocks has become a safe, nurturing space not only for your little one, but for you as well. As a mum and business owner myself, I understand the deep emotions behind every drop-off, every moment of hesitation, and every hope that our children are not just cared for—but truly seen. Knowing that you’ve found peace of mind and connection here is the greatest gift we could receive. We are so grateful to have your beautiful family as part of our community. Your kind words about our educators—Miss Caroline, Miss Faith and Miss Hayley—have been shared with them and brought happy tears to our team. It is their love, commitment, and intention that make this place what it is. Thank you again for your trust, your warmth, and for being part of the heart behind Learning Blocks Dural. We’re so lucky to walk this journey with you. With gratitude, Silvana & the Learning Blocks Team 💛

I don’t normally post reviews but we’ve had an amazing experience at Learning Blocks Dural, and we cannot speak highly enough of the current director, Susie! Her leadership has been truly exceptional, and it’s clear she cares deeply about the children. Our daughter has flourished under her guidance, and we’ve seen such positive growth. Our daughter started at Learning Blocks when she was 7 months old and she started in the Sensory Room with Miss Caroline and Miss Faith. They were so patient and nurturing, providing a calm and supportive environment that helped our daughter develop valuable skills. The transition to the Discovery Room with Miss Hayley has been seamless, and we’ve been so impressed by Hayley’s ability to engage and challenge our daughter in such a thoughtful way. Learning Blocks has been a wonderful experience, and we are beyond grateful for the exceptional care and attention Susie and the entire team have given our daughter. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nurturing and enriching environment for their little ones!
