About KU Maidstone Children's Centre

At KU Maidstone Children’s Centre, childhood is celebrated. When they play and explore, children's imagination and curiosity is sparked - they enjoy learning and are inspired to continue learning more.

We are dedicated to providing a high quality education and care service that concentrates on individual children and embraces families as the child’s first educators.

Our play-based program and learning environment intentionally provide opportunities and activities based upon the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, for your child to learn to socially connect with peers, their environment and their community. Led by our amazing and caring educators, the children are encouraged to laugh, think, question and learn. Their sense of self and confidence grows as they make connections with each other, and build warm, trusting relationships with our team.

We observe and record children’s development, interests and strengths and plan the learning environment based on this knowledge. This approach facilitates in children a lifelong love of learning and curiosity.

Our centre is a welcoming, nurturing and clean space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences – a space where children are supported to be their own, unique selves, growing and developing a sense of belonging and empowerment.

Children are presented with a range of experiences including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing.

We greatly value the strong relationships between our staff, children, families and our community, and we look forward to the opportunity of including your family in the life of our centre.

I learned a lot in this centre . Thank you so much for that after working 30 days for free gave my 100 percent and did whatever I was asked to do from cutting my nails to even though I was late for couple of minutes got lectured, to doing laundry. It would have been much more better if you don’t take any students rather than wasting our time , money and effort. I will remember this centre for rest of my life for not being fair for me. Adios

Hi Naghma, We are sorry to hear that your practicum experience at KU Maidstone did not meet your expectations. We value the participation of students in our services, and always aim to support students with quality placements. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you to better understand what has occurred, and how we can improve. We would be grateful if you could reach out to us at childrensservices@ku.com.au so we can unpack this further with you.

Our boys joined KU Maidstone in October 2023, at 6 months old. I could not be happier with the staff and management of KU. The Educators are engaging with the children, lots of outdoor time and we are kept well informed of their progress and day to day activities. Not just the Key Educators, but all the team at KU Maidstone have taken the time to get to know me and I know that while I’m not in the position to be home with them full time, this is the next best place for them to be.

My son started attending KU Maidstone Children's Centre in May 2023, and I couldn't be happier with our choice. He enjoys his time there immensely and always seems happy when I pick him up. As a not-for-profit centre, KU Maidstone is relatively small compared to other daycares in the area, which means my son receives full attention. All the educators genuinely enjoy what they do and show great care for the kids. The facilities are always clean, and I love that they bring the children to play in the outdoor area whenever the weather permits. They have a variety of activities throughout the day that keep the kids engaged and active. The centre serves nutritious food with a good variety, and I know my son always eats well. Overall, I'm very glad my husband and I chose to send our son to KU Maidstone Children's Centre. Highly recommended!
