About KU Greenwood Children's Centre

Our Program and Approach

At KU Greenwood, we view each child as an individual with unique abilities and interests. We aim to create an environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging and trust, where they are able to learn, grow and reach their full potential.

We believe that children learn through play, by actively exploring their environment via a range of developmentally appropriate, multi-sensory experiences within a positive, safe, fun, flexible and stimulating learning environment.

Our program offers children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities, each specifically designed to promote children’s confidence as capable, active participants in their own learning. Children are presented with a range of activities including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing.

Our educators are positive role models and support children’s learning through the use of structured, non-structured and spontaneous learning opportunities. Our educators are committed to ensuring children build secure and strong relationships with carers, as well as having positive and open relationships with families.

At KU Greenwood, we are proud of our reputation within the local community of providing rich education and care that concentrates on individual children in a family-focussed and supportive way.

We greatly value the strong relationships between our staff, children and families, and we look forward to the opportunity of including your family in the life of our centre.

We cannot express enough gratitude to the incredible team at KU greenwood plaza child care, for their unwavering support and care looking after our boy for the past two years. The change we made in moving our son to KU greenwood is one we still remember fondly to this day. Coming from a different place when every morning was a struggle to say goodbye, KU Greenwood quickly became a second home that our boy continued to adore. As parents, there is nothing more we'd wish for other than knowing our child is happy and thriving in an environment where he feels safe, loved, and supported. Thank you all once again for everything. We are forever grateful. Attached is photo of the adorable mug you made for our son as a parting gift. It's truly thoughtful and cute. Warm regards, Winna & Louis
