At Kool Beanz Academy Byron Bay, we’re proud to call the picturesque Byron Bay home and enjoy connecting with local members of our community. Our centre sits just a short walk away from the beachy, tranquil vibes of our beautiful city that shines through at our Early Learning Centres.
At our state-of-the-art facility, your child will love our ‘home away from home’ atmosphere, where everybody feels valued, cared for and welcome. As a family-owned and operated centre, we can provide a genuine, hands-on approach to your child’s education. Regardless of their interests, talents, and unique needs, each child will receive dedicated support and care from our experienced educators.
Our centre has space for 75 children aged from six weeks up to six years. During their time at Kool Beanz Academy Byron Bay, your child will develop crucial social, emotional, and cognitive skills, preparing them well for school and life beyond.

The worst experience. Spent over $1000+ for not even 1 full day of care in 3 weeks. And yes that is with the “CCS” Yes, my child didn’t adapt well but I find it worrying that not one professional could console him and no one seems to think this is a lot of money for a single mum who can’t work due to 24/7 sole care of child.. hence the daycare attempt to try and work! But no, so down $1000 and 3 steps backwards in my child’s development. I feel like it is a secret society and you have no one to speak to about your concerns or feelings hence this review! $50 fee for a hat? Expensive hat? And I didn’t even get the bloody thing! 2 weeks notice to un enrol child - ok. Full fee for the next two weeks if your child doesn’t come one day.. ok.. so I have to choose my child’s welfare over money? Not understanding at all. No empathy at all. Apparently it is a centerlink ruling? Ok.. if that is the case the whole system Is not designed for STRUGGLING single Mums! Not only is my child traumatised but I am traumatised. Don’t be hypnotised by shiny objects because like most big companies it really is just about money isn’t it.. not the health, happiness & care of human beings ✌️

We’re sorry to hear that your experience with us didn’t meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. We understand how challenging it can be for a child to transition into childcare for the first time. Our team made every effort to help your child settle, but we recognise that every child’s journey is unique. Regarding fees and the CCS process, we’re required to follow government guidelines, including notice periods, which can understandably feel rigid in difficult circumstances. We completely empathise with the financial strain this has caused. Delays in eligible CCS and refunds are managed by Centrelink and, unfortunately, are beyond our control, but we understand how stressful waiting for these funds can be. We’re happy to assist with any further clarification or support. Please know that we care deeply about the well-being of the families we work with, and we are always open to feedback to improve how we communicate and support parents. The team has been so supportive of our family over the last few years and we are constantly impressed by how much love/effort/care the team puts into crafting amazing experiences for the kids. We have, at some point, had a child in every room at the centre. Whether it is the hands on support they have needed in the earlier years or the school readiness program our daughter is currently undertaking in preschool, we have always felt out child's individual needs have been seen and catered for.
