About Koala Kindy
Koala Kindy is a purpose built 75 place long day care service, which first opened its doors in the late 70’s.
Our service is broken down into 5 rooms which accommodates children aged 6 weeks to school age. We operate from 6:30am to 6:30pm, 51 weeks a year.
We are a privately owned centre since 2002. Our service is managed by a team of experienced and passionate director and educators, combining over 40 years of experience.
We have numerous educators who have been with us for long periods of time, which we will feel is the secret to our success. Our long standing and happy educators are part of what contributes to us being able to provide continual high-quality care; our core team of educators have been with us between 7 and 20 years.
We believe that the experience of childhood is a unique journey. We value and pride ourselves on our partnership with families. We believe families are children’s first teachers and therefore we embrace parents, guardians, and family involvement within our service.

One of my sons was extremely shy when he first started -so much so that I used to get calls to come pick him up because he was too upset to stay. But thanks to the incredibly caring and patient staff, everything has changed. Now, he LOVES kindy! Both of my boys are so happy there. They’ve made little friends, they’re excited to go every morning, and it honestly feels like we’re part of a big extended family. The kindy itself is always spotless, the environment is safe and cheerful, and the kids are all so lovely. I feel so at ease leaving my sons with them, which as a parent, means everything. We’ve been part of the Koala Kindy family since our daughter was in the baby room, and we honestly couldn’t imagine a better place for her to grow and thrive. From day one, the staff have been nothing short of amazing— nurturing, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s wellbeing. Our daughter absolutely adores her educators and comes home every day full of stories, songs, and sand in her pockets and shoes! It’s so comforting as a parent to know she’s not only safe, but truly happy and cared for. The team go above and beyond to create a fun, educational, and supportive environment—and it shows in everything they do. Koala Kindy continues to be such a beautiful part of our lives and we’re so grateful to the whole team for making it feel like a second home. Highly recommend to any family looking for a centre with heart! 🐨💛
