About Kindalin Early Childhood Learning Centre - Cherrybrook

Kindalin Cherrybrook is a child care centre for children aged from two to five years old, from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. The two rooms offer an intimate learning environment, with a focus on school readiness.

The children love the leafy outdoor play area, where they can dig in the covered sandpit, explore the climbing equipment, splash in the rocky creek area with water, or perform on the stage.

With over 30 years of experience, Kindalin aims to provide every child with a stimulating and challenging environment in which to grow and learn. The provision of an open learning environment and exploratory creative programs enhance each child’s individuality and ability to develop to their full potential.

The Kindalin philosophy and curriculum are based on years of experience and up-to-date early childhood research which recognises the importance of children’s active, hands on involvement in their learning.

The centre is within easy access to the M2 motorway, has buses at the door, and is just minutes away from Cherrybrook Public School.

At Kindalin, children are cared for in an environment that is both stimulating and challenging. The seven core beliefs of the centre’s philosophy are:

Partnerships between the children, families and educators.

Environments should be both positive and nurturing, seeing children as individuals who are competent and capable learners.

Active Learning is encouraged as children explore their surroundings and interact with others.

Family Support is offered where parents take an active role in their child’s programming. All cultures are celebrated and valued.

Community Involvement is encouraged, visiting and engaging with other groups and spaces within the local area.

Team Culture where educators are respected individually as well as working within a professional group that encourages development and reflection.

Sustainability as part of the culture and curriculum, to teach children to learn and respect the environment.

When we decided to move to different suburbs from where we were before, I have done a few childcare tours before we can decide on the suburb. I decided to move to Cherrybrook area because I absolutely fell in love with Kindalin Cherrybrook at first sight! We confirmed the enrolment before we even went to house inspections nearby. As parents, we thought childcare is where my child would be spending most of her time so choosing the right centre was crucial for us. Looking back over the past 2 months, I'm glad that I made the right choice. From the beginning, the centre’s priority has clearly been the well-being and independence of the children in their care, and it shows in every aspect of their service. Every morning, my child absolutely loves going to Kindalin and this is a testament that she feels safe, comfortable and enjoyable at Kindalin. She would often refuse to come home. What really surprised me is no matter when I pick her up, she is always with her peers and educators. She was never left alone to play freely or neglected at any point. We can see the educators spend a lot of quality time with kids (VERY VERY different to previous centres that she attended!) This is not only making a positive impact on her, but also as a full-time working mum/working dad, this gives us comfort that she is well taken care of so that we can focus on work during the day and have quality time with her in the evening. Not to mention my child is s picky eater at home but she loves everything she eats at the centre. Miss Jan must be adding extra love to fruits and vegetables :) LOTS of incursions, reading challenge, they do lots of drawings , painting and science experiments that you wouldn’t want to do at home. In Australia there is a great emphasis on play-based learning and Kindalin is the centre who genuinely goes by this philosophy. It’s only been two months but my child has visibly learnt so much - not only just alphabets and numbers but also physical, social and emotional development If you’re in this area I highly recommend Kindalin as this is a place for children.

I am delighted to offer my recommendation for Kindalin Early Learning Centre, John Road, based on the exceptional experience my daughter has had over the past nearly two years. From the moment I first toured the facility, I was struck by the thoughtful layout of the rooms and, most importantly, the dedication of the staff. The Centre Director's passion for early childhood education was evident, and it was clear to me that this was a place where my daughter would not only be cared for but would also thrive. Over the past 18 months, I have cherished every moment my daughter has spent at Kindalin. The center's commitment to providing a holistic learning experience is evident in the wide range of activities offered, from the engaging reading challenges to the creative art and craft sessions. I have also been impressed by the center's initiative to enhance parent understanding through the "Policy of the Month," which has helped me gain deeper insights into early childhood education practices. Furthermore, the center regularly hosts sessions led by expert speakers and preschool practitioners, enriching the educational experience for both children and parents alike. Combined with the warm and caring nature of all the educators, Kindalin truly feels like an extended family. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Kindalin Early Learning Centre, John Road, to any parent seeking a nurturing and stimulating environment for their child. My daughter's growth and development during her time at Kindalin have exceeded my expectations, and I am grateful for the positive impact the center has had on her life. Thank you Richa
