Welcome to HQ Children's House of Learning - Newly Opened in 2022!
Hidden away in the small leafy suburb of St James you will find you will find a small cosy house that has been converted to a charming childcare with a warm homey feel and a large leafy back yard designed for nature play. No 56 Victoria Street looks unasuming from the front.....but then opens into a wonderful world of exploration for the young child.
Combining the owners 15 years of Montessori experience with science, HQ Children's House of Learning provides a unique and carefully developed curriculum based on children’s innate curiosity blending science with Self Care and Integral Life Skills – ‘SCILS’- carefully cultivating your child’s passion for learning through a rich and varied indoor and outdoor environment, skilled and caring educators, and opportunities to make gently guided discoveries, every day.
The HQ philosophy is one of self-discovery with a focus on developing executive function and self-regulation – crucial early childhood skills which build the foundations for successful learning and are highly regarded in preparing children for school.
Offering your child an exceptional STEAM - Science; Technology; Engineering; Art; Math - learning approach, combining exploration in a large natural outdoor environment with beautifully presented and prepared indoor classrooms. "We are thrilled to share our exceptional experience with HQ Children's House of Learning! From the initial tour with Anita, we felt at ease due to her expertise and warm welcome, which made us feel right at home, especially since we were new to the country at the time. Anita and the staff work diligently to keep the children engaged, and we particularly appreciate the scientific themes they introduce to the kids. The calm and serene atmosphere within the classrooms helps maintain the children's focus. We are also impressed with the robust security measures and login procedures in place. Additionally, their rates are reasonable, and Anita is flexible and accommodating with scheduling. Most importantly, the staff has made us feel like part of a family, and we are grateful for the love and care shown to our son by Ammy, Raj, Pasan, Della, and Chimmy.
