About Headstart Clarendon Long Daycare and Preschool
Welcome to Headstart Early Learning Centre Clarendon. We're ideally located for families in Clarendon, South Windsor, Windsor, Cornwallis and Bligh Park.
Our Long Daycare and Preschool Centre provides early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
At Headstart Clarendon, we provide convenient, full care coverage from 9hr, 10hr or full days, 5 days per week, including school holidays.
Our longstanding, multicultural and dedicated team of Teachers and Educators provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment - where your child can thrive, and be their wonderful self, every day.
Getting school ready? We offer the 3 and 4-year-old Government-approved Preschool program that helps ensure your child has a successful transition to formal schooling.
We offer a great variety of learning experiences at Headstart Clarendon including:
-Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of protecting our planet.
-Community Engagement Program: Encourages children to interact with and discover their local community. We often have visits from community services, and we go out on adventures to teach the children about their local environment.
- Real life experiences: Children participate in fun and exciting experiences throughout the day, we encourage active participation in learning about our local environments including the RAAF base (planes and trains) and the paddock next door (farming and animals)

We initially toured this centre in the first week of January and spoke with the director as we were not looking at having our child start until May. We were assured multiple times by the director that if the spaces started to fill, they would contact us to see if we wanted to enroll early which sounded fantastic. We were also told multiple times that after being put on the waitlist, we would receive check ins every few weeks to confirm if anything had changed. We received no further communication from the centre. I then emailed the centre at the beginning of April to which I received no reply after a week and a half. I then called head office and was advised there were no spaces available for my child even though we had been told we would be advised if spaces started to fill. I was then told they would call me back 2 weeks later to provide me with a further update - yet again, a week and a half past this date and still no communication. After being so eager to enrol my child, the centre has been nothing but empty promises and no communication. My child has now been enrolled elsewhere.

I had the pleasure of entrusting my children, for the past 3 years, to Headstart Clarendon, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care they provide. The staff genuinely cares for the well-being and development of each child, creating a nurturing and safe environment. The educators are exceptional, fostering a love for learning while promoting social and emotional growth. The facilities are beautifully designed, offering a stimulating and inviting space for kids to explore and thrive. Headstart Clarendon truly sets the standard for quality childcare. I cannot fault the entire team at Head Start Clarendon from our first visit through to our daughters first year of daycare the level of care shown by the educators is second to none. Many special bonds have been formed with other children and educators alike and to see the development and growth has been amazing.
