About Gundala Kindergarten
Gundala is an Aboriginal word meaning "Where Children Gather".
We have two kindergarten groups.
Our Centre has one unit with two groups that allows us to cater for 44 pre-prep aged children. There are two part-time teachers and one full-time assistant employed at the centre as well as a part-time admin officer and a part-time cleaner.
We are a non-profit Indigenous Community Kindergarten that welcomes families of all cultural backgrounds. Gundala is managed by a dedicated parent and community Management Committee that works closely with the staff at our centre. The Management Committee consists of a President, Vice President and Secretary, Treasurer and one general member.
Our Curriculum is developed from the national 'Early Years Learning Framework' and the 'Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline' and is guided by the 'National Quality Framework'.
The education program is developed by qualified Kindergarten Approved teachers who work together with a qualified assistant. Our educational staff members hold current Blue Cards, Senior First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certificates.

My son went to this kindy in 2014. I was happy with the growth in his confidence and communication skills. I loved seeing the relationships he developed with his educators. The friendships he developed in his time at Gundala still remain important to him. I adore the educators currently at the kindy. They are establishing fantastic relationships in the kindy and with the community.
