As a profession, I do weekly school and childcare visits throughout Melbourne, so I am able to compare and contrast quite easily. Knowing what I know, I can confidently say that my kids are attending one one of the best childcare and education center for several reasons which are important to me: 1) Everyone in the center cares about the wellbeing of the children. This includes the educators, the administration, the management, the chef and everyone else involved in that center. They all know each of my child's temperament, personality, likes/dislikes and are genuinely interested in them and care about them. This speaks volumes to how they all work as a team for the best interest of the child. 2) The educators -- where will we be without them! They go above and beyond for each and every one of children. This center has some of the most loving, talented and smart educators I have seen in any childcare. To them, this is not just a job, you can truly see and experience this when you see them with your kids. Kesia, Gabi, Marianne & Cici, you are our family's guardian angels. The best educators of all time. 3) Feedback - the center are there to listen and care for any concerns you may have. Last year, as a first time mother, my anxiety was as its peak, however, the whole team there were all there to listen, acknowledge, understand and help. 4) They celebrate cultural diversity which is very important to my family. The accept, respect and celebrate! 5) The childcare put a lot of effort into engaging the children in extra-curricular activities which include a soccer coach, music and dance with Happy Feet. They have also put effort into ensuring parents know other parents in their child's class. 6) The facility is top notch amazing. It is clean, the toys all have their pieces (you would be surprised this is not a guarantee in some facilities), very organized, spacious and open. There are a hundred of positive things I can say about the Guardian South Yarra but the most important are the people who work there. I thank you so much.

As a Wayapa Wuurrk Earth Connection Practitioner I have been booked by the South Yarra Guardian Childcare & Education Centre to conduct Incursions to teach the children about Earth Connection and caring for the Earth. I have found the staff to be professional and very supportive and the children engaging and happy to learn about caring for the Earth. The Centre has many resources for Earth Care and Indigenous learning spaces and have collaborated with me to provide the most engaging and fun activities to care for the Earth and learn about Indigenous wisdoms. It is always a delight for me to visit the South Yarra Centre. It provides varied opportunities and space for the children to interact and learn with Earth based teachings. #wayapawuurrk
