About Guardian Childcare & Education Preston

Welcome to Guardian Preston, a spacious and inviting centre for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old.

Proud winner of the Family Choice Award 2026. As determined by our existing families rating their experience of our Centre via Family Satisfaction Survey and independent Google Reviews. We're also proud to be Exceeding in our most recent independent rating and assessment.

Guardian’s exclusive To BE Me program creates a unique learning adventure for every child. It demonstrates clearly how play connects to learning and development, offering families new insights and a lifelong record of these important years.

We understand how big those first steps into childcare are, and our Baby Ambassador and expert Nursery team is here to make the transition calm and reassuring for both you and your baby.

By focusing on Nutrition for Life, Guardian gives families peace of mind, knowing their children are developing habits that can set them up for a future of exposure to different foods, good eating patterns and healthy eating. Our qualified cook / chef provides 5 healthy foods every day from our in-house kitchen.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares in 2026.

Families trust us to provide safe childcare with the highest standards of safety and care in our centre. We’re proud of our centre, and we believe this is the best childcare in Preston.

Guardian Childcare Preston have been one of the best things to happen to our family. Our son was incredibly shy (and still can be!) but they’ve bought out the best in him. They are always happy to address concerns in a timely and professional manner, and they genuinely care about the children. With our daughter who has low vision, they continued to show their strengths catering beyond expectation, as they do to all children. It would be unfair of me not to mention the management team who clearly have created a great culture. Rita who is as on the ball as anyone could be on the front desk, Ash who takes everything to above and beyond levels with the programs and education design that she implements, and of course Liz who never seems to be anything but calm cool and collected, despite the remarkable challenges of running a daycare centre in this current day and age. Although my son is graduating I’m glad to still be attending the centre for my daughter for another 2 years! The owners of this business are very lucky to have the team they have! 5 stars
