Guardian Childcare & Education Mulgrave

We had a tour booked at this center. We arrived at the scheduled time. The entrance is on the 3rd floor of the building and you have to buzz to be allowed access to the 3rd floor. We buzzed and a lady answered and told us to go up to the 3rd floor. On arrival to the 3rd floor there was no one at the reception. Understandably, they may have been busy so we hung around the reception area. After a little while one member of staff came and saw us, didn't say anything and went downstairs. We thought ok we will keep waiting as someone else might attend to us. We just started looking around the posters and information in the reception area. 2 other members of staff then came to the reception along with a group of children. Again didn't say anything and took the children downstairs via the lift. We thought this was quite strange and already alarm bells were ringing. Firstly we were just strangers in the building no one even bothered to ask who we were and what we were doing there considering there are vulnerable people in this building. From a security point of view you would have thought that this would be the 1st thing they would do. It was quite worrying that it was easy access into the building with no follow up to really ask our identity. After 15-20 mins we decided we would leave. We pressed the lift button and figured we needed a swipe for the lift to work. We were then able to figure out there was a swipe laying around near the lift which we were able to grab and swipe and we were able to leave the building. Again extremely worrying. This is a a major safety issue and we thought we would share our experience with others. Unfortunately, we didn't get to have the tour but am quite relieved we actually didn't.
