About Guardian Childcare & Education Mentone West
Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Mentone West, a newly refurbished and modern, light-filled centre. Our early childhood education programs are focused on play-based learning, and our day care and child care centre provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged six weeks to six years of age. Our Mentone West childcare centre is conveniently situated for families living in the surrounding suburbs of Beaumaris, Mordialloc, and Parkdale.
The centre provides a safe and secure environment for children to be curious, creative and adventurous. Step inside and you’ll notice the light-filled and homely interiors are filled with art materials, books and toys. Outside there’s a range of age-specific play equipment including a fantastic climbing fort, and vegetable gardens for the children to tend to. Proud of their culturally-diverse team, the centre actively celebrates a range of cultural events throughout the year.
The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares in 2025.

We absolutely love Guardian Mentone West! The educators are so warm, caring, and genuinely invested in each child's well-being. My daughter settled in quickly and has thrived in their care. My daughter has been going here 3 days a week. She is learning everyday to be ready for school. She loves talking about what she did at the center, it always sounds like she has fun! Her teacher is awesome and her educators are lovely and caring.
