Guardian Childcare & Education Ascot Vale

We have had both our daughters enrolled at Guardian for the past four years, and we couldn’t be happier with the care and support they’ve received. Throughout this time—including the challenges of COVID lockdowns—the team has been nothing short of exceptional. The educators are warm, kind, and genuinely invested in the well-being of the children. Their consistency is a testament to the centre’s low staff turnover, which has provided a wonderful continuity of care. In fact, many of the same staff who cared for our eldest daughter over three years ago are now looking after our youngest. The office team goes above and beyond, always greeting our girls with open arms—literally! Morning and afternoon cuddles have become a much-loved part of their day. As first-time parents, navigating the early years of childhood can be overwhelming, but the Guardian team has been a source of guidance and reassurance. Their support has played a huge role in our daughters' growth and development, giving us great peace of mind. With another 2.5 years left at Guardian for our youngest, we are so grateful to be part of this wonderful community. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team!

This was my daughter Amelia’s first childcare center, and she has been wonderfully cared for over the past two years. It’s bittersweet that we had to leave last week due to our move. This is an exceptional center with dedicated educators who truly care about the children. Thanks team!

Absolute lack of supervision and inadequate staffing, they allow <1 year olds to play with older children unsupervised. When our child was attacked by an older child (obviously not the other young child's fault that they were unsupervised) and had a bite mark on his eyebrow and scratches all over his face and neck, they didn't even bother to call us! This was not just a minor scratch, it was at least 7-8 scratches over his face and neck as well as a blatant bite mark across his eyebrow. When we picked him up they were adamant that it wasn't a bite and told us they saw it and it was just a scratch and that he woke up like that (as if we are plain dumb). Obviously we made a complaint, they then called us in a panic and admitted they only told us it was a scratch because they didn't see and gave a bunch of random excuses as to why they didn't contact us at the time. The management refused to reply by email, ignored our follow up email and forced their educator to call us who was obviously distressed about the situation with the level of staffing. I feel quite sorry for her and the other educators (most of whom are lovely) in fact as if management do not provide adequate provisioning of staff for the care required she is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Please do the right thing by your children and look elsewhere. Edit: Over a month since they promised to follow up in their response, still no communication received from Guardian Ascot Vale.
