About Great Beginnings Applecross Long Daycare and Kindergarten
Welcome to Great Beginnings Applecross. We're ideally located for families in Applecross, Ardross, Booragoon, Alfred Cove, Myaree, Mount Pleasant, Attadale, Salter Point, Manning, Brentwood and Winthrop.
Our Long Daycare and Kindergarten Centre provides early education and care for children aged 18 months to 6 years.
We provide convenient, full care coverage from 9hr, 10hr or full days, 5 days per week, including school holidays.
Our dedicated, longstanding team of Teachers and Educators provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment - where your child can thrive, and be their wonderful self, every day.
Getting school ready? We offer the Government-approved Kindergarten program that helps ensure your child has a successful transition to formal schooling.
We offer a great variety of learning experiences at our Centre including:
- Sustainability Program: Helps children develop and understand the importance of embedding sustainable practices into everyday life. Children learn about recycling, conserving water, growing food and the importance of protecting our planet.
- Community Engagement Program: Encourages children to interact with and discover their local community. We often have visits from community services, and we go out on adventures to teach the children about their local environment.
- Sports Program: Allows the children to be active and learn about different sports and movements.
- Music & Movement Program: Designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration. Children learn to appreciate and develop an understanding of music - and of course, have fun.

The worst experience of customer service (or complete lack of) I have ever experienced of any company, childcare or otherwise. They need to really up their game when it comes to the transparency of their enrolment process. Please be aware that If they offer you a place in writing prior to accepting your application it certainly doesn't mean you have a spot at their centre.

The teachers here are excellent and incredibly patient. The center may not be big, but it feels very warm and welcoming. Every child receives great care and attention. The food provided is also fantastic. Highly recommend this place!

Great Beginnings Applecross has been amazing in helping our daughter settle back into childcare after a break—she was so attached to me, but the staff made the transition so much easier for her and for us. What really stands out is how much they care about each child individually. It doesn’t feel like your child is just one of many; they truly take the time to connect with every kid. The staff are also so respectful and always take the time to explain how our daughter’s day went, which we really appreciate. A big thanks to Christine, Alyshia, and Allana for all your support and kindness—you’ve made such a difference!
