Goodstart Early Learning Woolner

Goodstart Woolner is a warm, welcoming early learning and childcare centre on Larrakia Country, conveniently located on Bishop Street, just five minutes from Darwin City. Our smaller, three-room centre offers a close-knit, home-away-from-home environment where every child is known, valued and supported to feel safe, secure and confident.

Our experienced, long-standing educators build strong relationships with children and families, with some team members having up to 20 years of service. Through child-led, play-based learning, children are encouraged to follow their interests, explore ideas, build friendships and develop confidence and independence.

We are proud of our multicultural community, with educators speaking a wide range of languages including Cantonese, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Bengali, as well as languages from Nepal, the Philippines and Indonesia. This diversity helps create an inclusive environment where different cultures, traditions and experiences are welcomed and celebrated.

Children also enjoy special learning experiences throughout the year, including visits from Hector the Cat and the Be Crocwise program. Two Bachelor-qualified teachers support children's learning and help build the skills and confidence they need for their transition to school.

Strong family partnerships are central to our approach. We value open communication and work closely with families to understand each child's individual strengths, interests and needs. With new resources continuing to enrich our learning environments, children have plenty of opportunities to investigate, create and discover.
