Goodstart Early Learning Shailer Park

Our child attended here for over a year and we absolutely loved the staff (especially Miss Beth in the nursery and the lovely centre director). We moved so had to move daycares and I still wish we could send our kid back here! Couldn’t recommend Goodstart Shailer Park enough, it’s a great centre with wonderful staff who you feel care about your child. They’re great at communication too.

Love the caring and empathetic nature of the educators at this centre. They’re so in tune with the emotional support that little ones need to thrive which makes it easier going back to work knowing my children will get the love and support they need. Their play is centred around exploring and taking (safe) risks and I love that they can play so freely like 90’s kids! 😍

I've been working at GoodStart Shailer Park for a year now, and it has truly been a rewarding experience. One of my favorite aspects of our center is the open-door policy, which allows children to move freely between rooms. This not only helps them become familiar with all the educators but also makes transitions between different rooms throughout the year so much smoother. Our education leader, Tracy, has been incredibly supportive, regularly checking in on my progress and offering invaluable advice. Our small chats around the center have been a great way for me to discuss my dilemmas and gain knowledge. To the new parents joining us, we are dedicated to making you feel connected and at home here. And to our returning families, welcome to 2025! I recommend this centre highly, I've been working here for about two years now and having worked at other centres it far exceeds expectations. The educators are passionate about advocating for children freedom to explore and play like children should, to explore in a way that they have autonomy over their play and what they feel safe to do. Educators here have great communication to supervise each area and asking other educators to cover them if they need to change a nappy etc. Educators getting down at children's level to engage and teach children where needed and invited. The fact that we have such reflective practice embedded in our day to day and the educators are open to feedback as we grow and learn together is so important for the flow of our centre and working effectively as a team. Kristy is such a supportive and understanding director, it is refreshing to have such a kind, a wealth of knowledge and such a community orientated leader to bring our team together. Always easy to come and talk to her for educators and families, which is so important. Such a pleasure to work at Goodstart Shailer Park.
