About Goodstart Early Learning Clayfield
Goodstart Early Learning Clayfield is a boutique, three-room centre with a unique, home-like atmosphere, modeled after classic "Queenslander" style homes. Constructed in 1986, the centre was designed to reflect the owner’s childhood memories, featuring elements like a cave for hide and seek and a man-made creek that recycles water, promoting sustainable practices. Recently, the centre upgraded its junior play area for nursery-aged children, complete with a sandpit, covered decking, and a natural creek bed for exploration.
The centre embraces children as active participants in their learning journey, offering progressive morning and afternoon tea times where children can make choices based on their needs, allowing for more meaningful, social interactions. In the Kindergarten room, children self-serve their meals, fostering independence and decision-making.
Indoor and outdoor play are available year-round, weather permitting, and the side yard serves as a “sustainable space” where children plant and care for seedlings while learning about environmental stewardship. Goodstart Clayfield was recognized as a finalist in the 2020 WasteSMART Kindy Awards for its dedication to sustainability.

We absolutely love this centre! Amily enjoys her time with both the kids and the teachers, and she wants to be there every day. We're moving on to school next year, and it’s truly heartbreaking to say goodbye to our beloved teachers. Special thanks to Miss Ellie, Miss Charlotte, and Miss Sarah for your natural talent in teaching children and your genuine care for them. When we first started two years ago, Amily could barely speak English and was hesitant to stay. Within just a few weeks, she grew to love this place, and now it’s her absolute favorite. We are so grateful for everything you’ve done for her.

Fantastic daycare with friendly and loving and carers and educators. Both my children have built close relationships with their careers and made strong friendships with their friends. I love that the smaller size of the daycare means that the kids interact with different age groups and carers. My kids enjoy being there so much that it's a daily battle to get them to leave and come home. Even though my daughter finished there 4 years ago she still has interactions with the carers and kids when she comes to pick up her little brother. It jas been like a second home and the care and attention they have received has contributed immensely to shape them into wonderful confident, caring and well behaved little people.

My son has been having great experience. He loves his teachers and friends, and he has so much fun while playing and learning. All teachers know all children's names even when they are in different rooms. My son asks to go to kindy even on weekends.I truly reccommend this centre.

My son has been attending Goodstart Clayfield since he was just 4 months old, and as he prepares to head off to Prep, I reflect on the amazing support and care he has received over the years. The staff have been truly amazing, always so loving, attentive, and supportive through every stage of his development. The close-knit, nurturing environment has made all the difference in his growth. I highly recommend Goodstart Clayfield to any families seeking a small, caring community where their little ones will thrive.
